The Power of a Praying Mother

Greetings to all my dear mothers, sister and dear ones reading this post!

My sincere thanks to all, for praying for me, I’m doing well by the grace of God. It’s only the mercy of God that I’m alive and healthy today. We have to be thankful to God every day for his mercy. It’s a good thing to do. Dear mothers ‘praying is so important every day.’

Let’s not take it for granted.

What we know is to live the present wholeheartedly believing that God is faithful and we should be grateful to Him every day. Because God is faithful and he will never let us down when we fully trust Him. “Prayer does wonders”

I read an article on prayer: It said “Satan trembles, when he sees the weakest Saint upon his knees.” ― William Cowper. Because he knows his kingdom is going to be shaken. The only weapon and a strong weapon that we can use against Satan is Prayer. I’ve experienced in my life many times not knowing what to do or where to go, at that point I have experienced my Savior, my Heavenly Father has come along with me and said “I am with you do not fear.” He set everything in order, beyond my thinking. That’s what it says in Ephesians 3:20 “Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than we ask or imagine according to His power that is at work within us.” Yes, dear mothers, that’s the promise, we all can claim in any situation, He will come and manifest His power. No life has ever been simple. We are all beset by tragedies. The biggest tragedy in my life which God allowed was to lose my beloved son. Four years have gone by, the pain of losing him, still lingers in my heart. It is very hard to not to think of him. He set a very good example by living as a very obedient and caring son especially His parents and siblings. Son who loved his parents and honored them to the very end. Thankful to God, for having given us, such a wonderful son. We are truly fortunate to have him for 36 yrs. There will be fortuitous movement when God allows different situations in our life. But He helps us to come to Him all the time, He is our comforter, so let us not forget our creator but remember Him and be ever grateful to Him.

 With a grateful heart:

I’m deeply thankful to God for giving me another year in my life. As I turn 68 on 15th Nov 2022. God enabled me to see this day, as you can see a recent picture of me holding my precious grand-daughter. While I was going through my treatment last year I was apprehensive about how things will turn out, but my Heavenly father has a great plan for me, so He has sustained me, to live for His glory.

Dear friends never get tired of thanking God and for one another in the family. Many of you have prayed for me. I am thankful to God for each of you for your valuable prayers and standing with me in my hard time.

Are you a Praying Mother!

Today I would like to highlight few mothers who prayed and received the answers for their prayers. Are you a Praying Mother! Be assured that God hears our prayers. Throughout the Bible it’s mentioned that mothers have played a very important role in raising God fearing children through prayer who made history. We have to discipline ourselves to pray for our children. That makes a big and great difference in our children’s life.

A. W. Tozer says, “when you want to pray, switch off the TV and your mobile, close the door and be alone with God.” You and God alone and then you will be able to hear His answer very clearly. In the Bible it is mentioned about prayer 400 times. Not only does God tell us to pray He also gives us the formula for prayer, straight from Jesus, why we should pray.

“Because, Prayer Changes Things.”

When a mother prays, she literally fortifies the armor of God around on herself, her family, and anyone else she prays for. This is important because the enemy is around every corner looking for a way in. Praying mother is important because she keeps the armor strong even for those who are not saved and may not pray as much.

After I surrendered my life to God, I didn’t have much time to read the Bible or even to pray, because I was taking care of my children, every mom knows how life is with little babies and toddlers at home. My quiet time was, when everyone sleeps, in the middle of the night I would kneel down and pray for my children. That was the time and place to meet with my God and get to know Him. The more I got to know Him, the more I trusted Him, believing He would move and answer. Boldly I can say He has answered all my prayers. He changed things and situations I’ve experienced it, because my eyes were fixed on him. Isaiah 26:3 “because we trust in God (our eyes are fixed on God

He will keep us in perfect peace.” Prayer is a secret act. I’ve prayed much for my children name by name every day and in the nights, asking God to give them the fear of God in their early age. God answered and helped them to grow in obedient to God and us, so all glory to God alone, It’s not us it’s God who has done a work in them, we should never stop praying for our children at any cost, Jesus told one last word before going to the cross, looked at the mothers He said don’t weep for me weep for your children. So dear mothers we have to weep and pray for our children, that they will be protected from this evil world and live a Godly life.

Mothers from the Bible:

Let’s meditate on few mothers who prayed and the world changed. Jochebed, whom I like most is, the mother of Moses and Aaron. She is one who exemplifies the faith of a mother. Not only we see the result of her prayer life in that God saved her son from certain death- when we pray God did delivers our children from fatal occidental, sickness etc. But we know that all her children became great faith leaders in Israel, her prayer life surely fueled theirs and God helped them to create history in those days. Jochebed is the great praying mother.

Then we know Hannah, I would venture a guess that every time you find a faithful man/woman in the world, had a praying mother. Hannah far outshines all of us. Her selflessness in prayer and sacrifice in sending Samuel to the temple to be raised up as a priest changed the history of Israel. All of which started with a prayer of a desperate mother.

My favorite mother in the Bible is “The Canaanite mother.” Mathew tells of an interesting woman who spoke to Jesus, face to face. The Bible doesn’t mention her name but her story is given in the Bible. She had faith enough to beg the mercy of God for her daughter. We have to do for our children every day. I’ve done almost every day asked God’s mercy over my children, now I beg for mercy for my grandchildren, because the present world is very evil, so I ask the Lord to preserve them from the influences of this world, it is very important. This Canaanite woman saw the miracle of God’s son Jesus, we can assume her faith grew more and she became more devoted. We have to see and experience the move of God in our children’s life, as it becomes a deep desire to see it again and again. I have seen answer to prayers as God worked in my children, and I give all the glory to God, God blesses them and their family.

Conclusion:

Let me conclude this article by adding a small story about how we miss out our birth right by believing a lie instead of the Truth. There was a Lion which was transported to a super power country from a small country, after reaching that big country Lion was put in a cage, the caretaker came to give food for all the animals, as he came to this Lion’s cage he threw some carrots and beet roots inside. This Lion got very angry and said, you know in my country I was the king of the jungle, and I was given all kinds of best meat. This caretaker said, I’ll tell you the truth, you didn’t come in your original passport, you’ve been sent herewith a monkey’s passport, so today you manage it, and tomorrow I’ll give you your meat.

Yes, dear mothers we’ve been robbed of our birth rights, we believe Satan’s lie rather than God’s real Truth.

1 Peter 2:9 says, “But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.” Many of us believe Satan’s big lie, thinking we belongs to this world, we are nobody etc., But the Bible says, we are a royal priesthood and we don’t belong to this world, our citizenship is in heaven. Let’s believe this, as we come to the end of this year, we should not lose faith, our Heavenly Father says “Nothing is impossible with me; all things are possible. With this verse in our hearts we’ll move on to the next year.

There’s a chorus which we used teach our children when they were very small,

My God is so big and strong so mighty

there’s nothing my God cannot do.

God bless you and Have a wonderful day !

My Journey - A personal Story

Greetings to you all in the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ dear mother, friends and anyone reading today. I pray and hope you all are happy and healthy by God’s grace. I had a recent heath challenge that I went through   over the last 10 months, I thought I will share with you all and trust it will encourage you. By God’s grace I am back to being able to do all my routine tasks, like taking care of my home, family, cooking, gardening etc., I felt it will be something good to share in order to bring awareness to many women. I read a beautiful quote “Enjoy the little things in life for one day you may look back and realize they were big things” They may be small pleasures but are truly precious. As mothers we overlook this simple joy and worry about what is to come. Life is filled with uncertainties. Enjoy the little things, for they will surely lighten the heart.” I’ve never expected that I’ll get cancer at any part of my life. Never had a family history. I’ve never had a fall

My Son and Me

My beloved son Vijay Peter Dhanraj went home to be with the Lord Jesus on 18th Sept, 2018. Its been 2 years..... So today with a heavy heart I am writing about my son Vijay and me. Indeed it was a real joy to have a son like Vijay. As he was growing up, it was like having Jesus in our home. Never once I remember him saying no to anything we asked him to do. He was a very obedient son. Early in his life he took on the responsibilities of the family.  I remember one time when he was about 4 years old, I had to stay awake taking care of one of my other sons who was a baby, at that time,Vijay was sitting up coughing, I got up to bring water,Vijay told me, mummy you sit with the baby I'll go get it myself.  He is very thoughtful of other’s need. He was hardworking, sincere, faithful & honest. He was a such a blessing wherever God took him. He never asked anything for himself even things like food, clothes, toys etc., he never got what he liked, when he was growing up, he gave up ma

Always Pray and Never lose heart

Greetings to all my dear Mothers and Sisters and all who are reading this today! Hope you all are doing well by God’s grace and mercy, may we remind ourselves that it is indeed God's mercy that we are most privileged people to have life and good health. Let’s not take it for granted dear mothers. I consider each day as a gift from God for me.   I was thinking of the importance of praying through hard times and finding strength in God’s presence. This book was gifted to me by one of my best friend; I felt that it came at the right time, as I read I was blessed and it was very helpful in my present situation hence I thought it will bless you all, so I am sharing a few thoughts on that. “Comfort and prosperity have never enriched the people as much as adversity has.” says Billy Graham. Yes, we lean on God more when we go through adversity than in good times. He allows certain sufferings to certain  people whom he loves, because he wants them to trust Him and come closer to him. It
