Happy & Blessed New Year 2023

Greetings to all my dear mothers and sisters!

A very happy 2023 & fruitful New Year to each one of you!

I'm delighted and looking forward to this year, because I know my Father in heaven has many good things in store for me.

One such blessing was welcoming our 9th grandchild, our youngest son & his wife were blessed with a baby boy, We praise God for this good and perfect gift.

Jeremiah 29:11 says “For I know the plan I have for you declares the Lord, plans to prosper you  and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” This is a powerful verse we can use to begin our new year, dear mothers. Realizing that God has a plan and purpose for each one of us ,will carry us through this New Year. Focusing on His plan is the key to be the kind of mothers we are meant to be.

Another verse which encouraged me is from Psalms 100:4  “Enter His gates (this year) with thanksgiving and courts with praise, give thanks to Him and praise His name.” We have to thank God for all the good things that He has done for us in the past. Countless blessings, protection, healing etc., Let’s stop for a moment and think. 1 Samuel 12:24 says “Consider what great things He has done for you.” Think of how many great things God has done for us last year and how many prayers he has answered .We need to trust God more in the coming years as mothers.

Let me begin with this story, ‘ One day, a man got into a public bus and noticed a little girl , sitting alone, happily humming to herself. She was a picture of Joy. This gentleman leaned forward and asked her ‘Little girl, aren't you afraid of riding all alone in this bus!’ “Oh no’ she replied, " No one can hurt me in this bus, because my Dad is the bus conductor” Isn’t that true about our lives at times, We’re thundering through the universe at inconceivable speed, swept through joy and suffering, sickness and health, life and death, storms, heartache, pain and grief, all while our Heavenly Father is the conductor. Let’s believe this, I believe with all my heart, if we trusted God more, there would be abundant songs of joy and praise on our lips.

Let’s ask ourselves an important question. ‘Is the Lord my shepherd? Psalms 23:1 says " The Lord is my shepherd ; I shall not want " Let’s keep this verse in our hearts and mind to move on in this New Year . . .we will never lack anything.

Sometimes we do have a doubt, “Is the Lord my shepherd ?” I too have had this doubt many times. Now here is the solution , we ask the Lord our Savior to touch us again, like the blind man asked Jesus, He touched him and asked, “Do you see anything?”

The blind man looked up and said, “I see people; they look like trees walking around.”, so Jesus touched him again , and he could see perfectly. (Read about this in Mark 8:22-26) Let’s ask our Lord to touch us again, so that we can see Him clearly, He is our shepherd and we lack nothing. Many of us make New Year's resolutions, but we don't follow them for long. My new year's resolution was "Not to justify myself or prove myself to anyone” God will take care of that. Many times we try to prove that we are right, sometimes it is needed , but more importantly if we keep silent that will prove that we are right, and on God’s side. Others may think they are right, but we will not get polluted by vain arguments but remain silent.

I heard a story of an elephant who wanted to cross the bridge after having a good bath in the river. On the opposite side there was a pig who wanted to cross, so the elephant moved aside and gave way for the pig to cross. The pig went and told the other pigs "Do you know what happened ?, that elephant was afraid of me and let me cross the bridge first" The pigs thought they were very smart. News spread to the elephants, and the elephants felt very angry at this elephant who had let the pig cross first and asked "Why did you allow the pig to cross the bridge first ? " So the elephant said "The pig was very dirty and I didn't want to dirty (pollute) myself "Let us not get polluted by our surroundings, but give way for others to move on. We don’t need to defend ourselves because God defends us.1 Peter 2:23 When they hurled their insults at him, he did not retaliate; when he suffered, he made no threats. Instead, he entrusted himself to him who judges justly.

There are many promises in the Bible we can claim in this New Year. Mr. Herbert Locker says in his book - called, ‘All promises in the Bible’ : 7487 promises are there in the Bible for us - so there is no need for us to be afraid. As mothers we have to claim it by faith. Last year when my daughter from UK visited me, before leaving, she gave me a verse, it said “Be still and know that I am God.” It spoke to me at that time . Because we have to be still in all situations and know that God will prove that he is a mighty God.

Let us remind ourselves, who we are and what we can do in a small way. Yes, dear mothers, it’s a most respected job. “Mother” is an awesome word. There’s a special magic in that word and something wonderful in a mother’s touch, ask someone whose mother has passed away, you will know how to truly appreciate the worth of being a mother. The Bible says, Your mother may forget you but I will not forget you. A Mother’s love is the closest comparison to God’s infinite love. Let’s show to our children that we are selfless, so that they can feel safe, they feel valued and important. Let’s teach our children that hard times can be overcome, and battles can be won. Let’s set an inspirational example to our children by teaching them how to live life and make wise choices even in the most uncertain situations and pray for them and claim God's word over their lives continually.

May God bless you all dear mothers and keep you all healthy for the kingdom of God.

Closing with a promise from Mark 5:34 for you and your families. . .

He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace and be freed from your suffering.”

With Love in Christ!

A song that reminds us of His presence!

My Journey - A personal Story

Greetings to you all in the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ dear mother, friends and anyone reading today. I pray and hope you all are happy and healthy by God’s grace. I had a recent heath challenge that I went through   over the last 10 months, I thought I will share with you all and trust it will encourage you. By God’s grace I am back to being able to do all my routine tasks, like taking care of my home, family, cooking, gardening etc., I felt it will be something good to share in order to bring awareness to many women. I read a beautiful quote “Enjoy the little things in life for one day you may look back and realize they were big things” They may be small pleasures but are truly precious. As mothers we overlook this simple joy and worry about what is to come. Life is filled with uncertainties. Enjoy the little things, for they will surely lighten the heart.” I’ve never expected that I’ll get cancer at any part of my life. Never had a family history. I’ve never had a f...

My Son and Me

My beloved son Vijay Peter Dhanraj went home to be with the Lord Jesus on 18th Sept, 2018. Its been 2 years..... So today with a heavy heart I am writing about my son Vijay and me. Indeed it was a real joy to have a son like Vijay. As he was growing up, it was like having Jesus in our home. Never once I remember him saying no to anything we asked him to do. He was a very obedient son. Early in his life he took on the responsibilities of the family.  I remember one time when he was about 4 years old, I had to stay awake taking care of one of my other sons who was a baby, at that time,Vijay was sitting up coughing, I got up to bring water,Vijay told me, mummy you sit with the baby I'll go get it myself.  He is very thoughtful of other’s need. He was hardworking, sincere, faithful & honest. He was a such a blessing wherever God took him. He never asked anything for himself even things like food, clothes, toys etc., he never got what he liked, when he was growing up, he gave ...

Always Pray and Never lose heart

Greetings to all my dear Mothers and Sisters and all who are reading this today! Hope you all are doing well by God’s grace and mercy, may we remind ourselves that it is indeed God's mercy that we are most privileged people to have life and good health. Let’s not take it for granted dear mothers. I consider each day as a gift from God for me.   I was thinking of the importance of praying through hard times and finding strength in God’s presence. This book was gifted to me by one of my best friend; I felt that it came at the right time, as I read I was blessed and it was very helpful in my present situation hence I thought it will bless you all, so I am sharing a few thoughts on that. “Comfort and prosperity have never enriched the people as much as adversity has.” says Billy Graham. Yes, we lean on God more when we go through adversity than in good times. He allows certain sufferings to certain  people whom he loves, because he wants them to trust Him and com...
